Can I use a camera without connecting to a PC?

Last Revision Date: 6/5/2014

This article discusses how it may be possible to stream images from a camera directly to a video system without using a PC connection.

Using our cameras without a PC is not recommended. However, it may be possible to stream directly from a camera by developing a microcontroller that is embedded into a video system. Microcontrollers should be able to communicate with our cameras using IIDC, USB3 Vision, and GigE Vision standards to stream data and control camera settings. Image buffering and display are additional considerations when not using a PC.
